Elvgren - 2012 (Wall Calendars) Review: Elvgren - 2012 (Wall Calendars). I collect the artwork of Gil Elvgren and get two new calendars every year. But I wish that who ever is putting the calendar together put a little more thought into selecting the pictures. None are appropriate to the month they're in. Why not Christmas in December. A Valentine in February, fireworks or something patriotic in July, and so on. A little thought and common sense would go along ways in an artistic creation.
